Thank you to all that came out and participated in today’s meeting.

If I must say myself, it was pretty awesome!

Tobias ensured we all started on time.  The room was immaculate with all of the meeting material ready to disseminate.

Felecia was well organized, tracking the time for all of the speakers.

Stacy Harper was the grammarian. She did an excellent job on introducing the word of the day and acknowledging all of those that used it.  Our word of the day was dissimulate.

Martha was, as I like to call it, the “Ah, Um, Aaand Cop Counter.”  Thanks for tracking our thinking words.  I believe this was her first time to fill in as the Ah Counter.

Jennifer and Janice both stepped up prior to the meeting to present their speeches.  TOTALLY AMAZING!! It was Jennifer’s first “Ice Breaker” speech, which I learned a ton about her.  Her informative speech was very organized and flowing.

Janice was awarded “Best Speaker.”  Her speech was tremendously informative and educational as she talked about obesity.   She provided statistical data and a handout as a visual aid to support and illustrate the content of her speech.

Tobias lead us in table topics by calling upon 3 volunteers: William, Felecia, and a first time guest – Franklin Terry.

Franklin with his incredible radio vocals, moved about the floor addressing his position on leadership titles and how he is able to speak to various audiences.

Cecilia reminded us how valuable evaluation is to our individual growth and organization.

Richard is new to our group and gave an amazingly thorough evaluation for Jennifer.  He is definitely a rising star!  (Perhaps he would like to compete as an evaluator in our club contest on February 27, 2012.

William was today’s “Best Evaluator.”  He has a keen ear and is always ready to provide positive feedback and constructive criticism.

Besides Franklin, our second guest was Joseph Walker.

Announcements: Stacy Sayre reported on the leadership speech on Dec 15th at the Advanced Club in downtown Dallas. Five YSY members attended! The speech was very informative.  the club meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.

Starr Williams, VP of Ed, gave members an index card to write down their TM goals of the next 6 months. Let her know when you will be speaking or what role you will be doing to achieve them when she sends out the schedule.
